Passwords
To prevent unauthorized users from running your computer or opening a
document at all you can assign a code called password .
A password can contain any combination of letters , numerals , spaces , and symbols , and it can be up to 15 characters long . passwords are case _sensitive , so if you vary the capitalization when you assign the password , users must type the capitalization when they enter the password .
Precautions
- If your computer has a password that prevents other users from accessing it then do NOT give this password to any body else.
- Do not write the password on a card and prop this up next to the monitor.
- Do not attempt to hide your passwords on the underside of your desk .
- Make sure you do not forget your passwords ,in many cases data cannot be recovered once the password is lost .
